New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel takes an active role in social responsibility programmes and initiatives for the benefit of society.

Caring Company

New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel has received the Hong Kong Council of Social Service’s “Caring Company” award every year since 2004.  The award recognises the hotel’s continuous effort in promoting social development and fulfilling social responsibility with actions. 

Food Donation

New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel donates food to the Foodlink Foundation.  Surplus food from the hotel’s restaurants is donated regularly to foster the nutritional wellness of people in need in Hong Kong, while simultaneously reducing food wastage.  The food surplus is reheated at various NGO community centres and served to the underprivileged on the same day it is collected.  

Charity Donation

New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel donates to Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong) to support environmental conscious initiatives, as well as to Friends of Hope Education Fund to help subsidise school projects and education programmes for children in remote areas of Mainland China. 

Partnership with St. James Settlement

New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel undertakes experiential training for primary school students, who work as associates in various departments.  The training gives the students experience in a real working environment and broaden their horizon. 

Partnership with Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association (HKYWCA)

New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel employs trainees of the HKYWCA Manpower Development Scheme as casual labour in housekeeping department and provides those with satisfactory performance with permanent employment opportunities.  

Student Programme

New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel organises hotel tours and talks for hospitality / secondary school students to help them understand the nature of hotel operations and the requirements of different job positions, and providing them with useful information about joining the hospitality industry.
