Swing into the Year of the Rat with auspicious delights at Tao Li and Café East.

We also invite you to welcome a bright year ahead with a traditional mochi-pounding ceremony, performed by Sagano’s head chef Masahiko Noka, at 11 a.m. on 29 January, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. Join us at the ceremony in the lobby and savour freshly made mochi served with red bean paste and amazake, a sweet sake, with our compliments. A traditional lion dance performance will follow. Don’t miss out on the exciting festive celebrations!

Tao Li

Chinese New Year dim sum and fine delicacies are a-calling at Tao Li. The menu is infused with themes of luck, happiness and good fortune with premium ingredients that symbolise prosperity and bliss.

Chinese New Year specialty highlights include:

  • “Lo Hei” shredded abalone, salmon sashimi
  • Sea moss soup, dried oysters, conpoy, fish maw, black mushrooms, lotus roots, pig’s knuckles, pig’s tongue
  • Deep-fried prawns, mashed salted egg yolk; sautéed fresh prawn
  • Stewed sea moss, whole conpoy, garlic
  • Sautéed abalone, elm fungus, prawns, scallops, kales, homemade XO chilli sauce
  • Braised broccoli, crab coral, crabmeat, bamboo pith
  • Barbecued sliced pork; chicken liver; sautéed fresh crab claws, spicy salt, broccoli
  • Sautéed shrimp roe, crab roe, scallops, crab coral, shrimps, egg white

Recommended festive dim sum items include:

  • Whole conpoy dumpling, fish maw, sea cucumber, cordyceps flowers, supreme Soup

The Chinese New Year specialties are available daily from 25 January to 8 February 2020 (the first 15 days of the Chinese New Year) and the festive dim sum menu is available for lunch only from 25 to 31 January 2020 (the first seven days of the Chinese New Year.)

Café East

Café East is serving up festive treats during lunch and dinner buffets. Highlights include:

  • “Lo Hei” mixed salad with salmon sashimi
  • Stewed dried oysters with pig’s tongue and sea moss
  • Braised pig's knuckle
  • Buddha jumps over the wall soup (available during dinner only)
  • Raspberry mousse
